inovex is KHZG-certified

inovex is certified by the German Federal Office for Social Security (Bundesamt für Soziale Sicherung, BAS) to assist hospitals with their digitalisation processes in accordance with the country’s Hospital Future Act (Krankenhauszukunftsgesetz, KHZG).

As of 1 January 2021, hospitals in Germany can obtain financial support from the federal government to advance their digitalisation processes. A total of 4.3 billion euros are available from the government and the federal states. This funding is intended not only to facilitate the increased digitalisation of hospital processes, but also to enable medical facilities to invest in IT security. The ultimate goal is to achieve a nationwide standard of digital infrastructure in hospitals and to create a stronger healthcare network.

inovex fulfils KHZG funding requirements

As an IT service provider, we are BAS-certified to help hospitals use KHZG funding to overcome their digitalisation challenges. Our broad-based expertise enables us to quickly and efficiently implement digitalisation projects. We use our comprehensive portfolio of technology services and methods to help our clients meet the eligibility requirements for KHZG funding. We provide support for the entire project process – from planning and implementation right through to the provision of documentation for the government.

We create patient portals – and more

We already have comprehensive experience in implementing projects for hospitals. Even before the KHZG was passed, inovex helped create a patient portal to help the ARCUS group of medical facilities digitalise their patient administration processes.

Patients can access the myARCUS patient portal via a browser or app to schedule doctor’s appointments or to obtain information relevant to their treatment. To ensure that they receive all communications, users can opt to have email messages and local notifications sent directly to their smartphones. In conjunction with myARCUS, inovex also created ARCUSflow, a platform for hospital staff to view and manage scheduled appointments. ARCUSflow can also be adapted to existing hospital infrastructures and is designed to be gradually expanded into a standalone platform.

IT security is our top priority

Many hospitals are under considerable pressure to digitalise their systems. Even when operating under narrow time constraints, however, IT security cannot be neglected. The KHZG requires that disruptions to the availability and integrity of IT systems be prevented. For projects to be eligible for funding, information security must be guaranteed. This involves, for example, the implementation of authentication and sandbox systems, as well as encrypted data transfer and ransomware protection for email systems.

We provide our customers with comprehensive advice and support in the field of IT security, and we ensure that our solutions fulfil the highest standards of data protection and security. For us, IT security is a process which is never completed, but which is constantly ongoing.
